Lammas Records
LAMMAS RECORDS was founded and continues to be run by Lance Andrews. Lance recently moved from St Albans, UK, where he had lived for thirty four years to York, UK.
Once a boy chorister at Ely Cathedral, he subsequently joined the Sound Department of BBC television, where he was one of their top Sound Engineers for many years.
On retiring from the BBC he established LAMMAS RECORDS - specialising in choral and organ music. Building on his reputation for recording excellence he has many titles to his credit, including commissions by other leading publishers. Dr. Barry Rose continues to be associated with many of these.
Lance uses the latest digital sound equipment to create the best in professional sound recordings. He produces the master recording, designs the artwork and completes the typesetting on his own systems. Only the volume production is outsourced; while maintaining careful attention to quality of the finished product.
Regular reviews in the music press testify to the high quality of these productions.
Lance is available to undertake recording commissions on other labels and for personal recordings.

About the Website Redesign
The website has been redesigned to add a CD buying button on each page. We have also taken the opportunity to update and harmonise the design of each page. They are all now written in strict XHTML 1.0, using CSS2 for styles. The pages will look their best in a modern browser, but should work in any browser.
Most of the work on these pages has been carried out by Toby Andrews, Lance's grandson.
If you would like to comment on the redesign or if you have any problems with it, please contact us.
